About me

Olga Goryunova

Goryunova Olga Evgenievna was born in 1992 in Dmitrov, Moscow region.

I have been interesting in fine art early childhood. My mom took me to my first teacher Reznikova Elena Evgenievna. Than I studied in an Art school in Dmitrov, which evokes pleasant memories. Exactly the Art school instilled a love to beauty for me. My first plein airs were organized as a part of the Art school program. So, by the age of 10 I known that image of nature take me the most. The discomfort of painting on the plein airs was compensated by the joy of depicting native motives.

In 2009-2014, I studied at Moscow State Regional University at the faculty of the Fine Arts and Folk crafts. While I was studying at the university , my desire to establish myself in painting became even stronger.

In 2019 I joined the Union of Artists of Moscow Region.

I had a place at 2020, which I am using as an artworkshop and having classes.

Landscape is the main theme of my art, a priority, although I also work in the genre of still life and portrait. I think, that despite the fact the main interests are defined, it is impossible to deal exclusively with one thing in creativity, to work with one topic. At the same time I think that it is not necessary to do everything in a row with the same force.

An artist should be open and inquisitive, so as not to be confined to one thing and go further, this gives development.

The direction which I work is traditional realism. Favorite materials are oil paints and pastels.
As mentioned above, I really like to do landscape painting, I work a lot in nature, I make plein air trips to different places. It is very interesting to observe the nature of different places, each of which sets you new and specific tasks. Also, making such trips, the thirst for new experiences is reinforced, it makes me happy, so I feel my life more saturated. Paints help me in this. When an artist depicts something, it turns out that it is not a literal reality, a picture appears that is passed through the prism of the artist's perception of the world. The emotions of my paintings are a silence and an appeasement, probably this is the state to which I strive unconsciously. And I like to share it with others.

I often take part in expositions as collective as personal ones. My works are in private collections in Russia, Finland, England and the USA.
